Hello hello!

Apologies for the radio silence.

I’ve been deep in a self-guided semester of classes and workshops!

And also, depressed.

But the sun is out, and all is well!

“What are these classes and workshops?” you may ask.

I’ve been a part of a writer’s group called Theatre Write Now with these lovely people, which culminates in all of us getting a staged reading of a new play! We’re starting this Saturday with Chidube’s “the 365 party girl and Saint Mary Francis.” I hope to see you there! My reading will be June 7th. Stay tuned for more updates on that!
I’ve taken a dive into dramaturgy in “Big D Energy” with Winter Miller at ESPA. It’s my millionth class at ESPA and my third(?) class with Winter Miller. We read and discussed a different play every week, then brought in our own pages in the style of writers like Sophocles, Caryl Churchill, Harold Pinter, and Lynn Nottage. Such a blast!
I’ve experienced the rollercoaster of emotions that is Movement for Actors at Terry Knickerbocker Studio. I had no idea how flexible my spine could be. I learned what a gift it is to see and be seen. I can’t wait to sign up for Movement 2! Big thanks to Mackian Bauman, Cynthia Navarro, and Marena Dunnington!
